Each of these markers is a tiny bit of digestible history and this book is intended to be a roadside companion for your exploration of the state. The markers commemorate historic events; buildings and sites; they honor Native Americans, pioneers, heroes, civic leaders, military leaders and other special people in the State of Washington and the US. They honor our country, flag, and people. You can find these most of these markers along public roadsides or in public parks and they are scattered statewide, from north to south and east to west, including 26 of the 39 counties.
